It is yet another herb that has a smoothing and a sedating effect on the body. It also promotes sound sleep. It helps calm chafed nerves and drives away anxiety. It is also effective in the treatment of migraine.

If your life has been hectic and you find yourself all knotted up, try a cup of chamomile tea. It’s a nerve relaxant and helps you calm down.

Chamomile tea is available in certain shops that stock herb teas. It is also known for its antispasmodic effect on the gastrointestinal tract. It is not habit forming nor is it toxic. However, some people can be allergic to it. So use it with caution.
